Refund & Return Policy
Effective: January 1, 2026
The short version
Most brand-new, unused items are returnable within 30 days of your order date for a refund to the original payment method.
Eligibility checklist

Condition: Unused or “as new” when reasonably possible. Include gaskets, clamps, hardware, manuals, and any bundled/free items.

Proof of purchase: Order # or receipt required.

Exclusions: Installed electrical components, clearly used items, or returns mailed without authorization (unless defective on arrival or required by law).

Return shipping — who pays?

Change of mind / wrong part ordered: You cover return freight.

Our error or DOA on arrival: We cover reasonable return costs after verification.

Start a return (two-minute email)
Email support@historiclakecityauto.us with your Order #, the item(s), and a brief reason. We’ll reply with step-by-step instructions and, if needed, an RMA plus the correct return address.
Please don’t send items without authorization, unidentified parcels may be refused.
Exchanges
Need a different part number or fitment? Request an exchange within 60 days (subject to stock). Sometimes the quickest path is return + new order—we’ll advise.
Refund timing
After the return is delivered, allow 5–7 business days for inspection. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Most banks/card issuers post within 3–7 business days after we process them.
Shipment issues (damaged / missing / incorrect)
Tell us within 7 days of delivery—attach photos if damaged and include your order number, we’ll make it right.
Cancellations
Cancel before shipment for a refund minus a 5% processing fee (non-recoverable payment costs). If the order has shipped, please use the return steps above.
